Kingfisher Red

Kingfisher Red, earlier known as Simplifly Deccan or Air Deccan is a low cost carrier and is a subsidiary of Kingfisher Airlines. Air Deccan, established in the year 2003 with the aim to enable every Indian citizen to fly was taken over by United Beverages Group chief Vijay Mallya and became Kingfisher Red on August 29, 2008. With the takeover, the blue signature colour of erstwhile Simplifly Deccan is now red. Kingfisher Red airline now operates under the flight code IT instead of the earlier DN code. Currently, Kingfisher Red serves as the low cost carrier of the UB Group and the level of service offered will be improved gradually.
