Paragliding

Paragliding is a relatively new sport in Nepal. It started in Pokhara about four years ago. One can experience unparallel scenic grandeur as one can share airspace with Himalayan griffins, vultures, and kites while floating over villages, monasteries, temples lakes and jungles with fantastic view of the Himalayas.

The past four years have seen the activity flourish in Pokhara, and now it is an internationally recognized destination for free-flight enthusiast.

The take-off point for these flights is Sarangkot (1592m), which also offers prime views of Phewa lake and the mountains at sunrise & sunset and the landing is by the lake.

Season:

The perfect months for flying are from November to February, the best month being November and December.
